Spring Sailing Programs

PLEON SPRING will begin on April 10 for 420 and OPTI RACERS.
Our plan is to begin offering INTERMEDIATE CLASSES beginning on April 24th.

PRICE: $75.00 per day plus an additional $25.00 if you require the use of a charter boat. In order to reserve your charter boat, you must follow the prompts during registration as it is slightly different from the fall program. All Registrants Must be members of Pleon, Pleon membership costs $50 annually.

CLASS SCHEDULE: Classes will be offered each Saturday & Sunday beginning 4/10. Rigged and Ready time will be at 11 AM each day. Classes will run until 4 PM. Sailors should not arrive before 10:30.

CLASS SIZE: We are limiting Opti classes to the US Sailing recommended 6.1 ratios of sailors to Coaches. 420 classes will be limited to a maximum of 4.1 sailors to boats. As classes fill sailors will be accepted from the wait list if we have enough sailors to accept from the wait list.

COACHES: Pleon prides itself on hiring the best possible coaches and you will see many familiar faces from this past Fall, all of our coaches have college sailing experience and are at a minimum Level 1 certified. Our coaches will work with a designated head coach each day who will oversee the program. As we get closer to the program start date please check out our website for coach bios.

COVID: All COVID protocols from the Fall & Summer programs are still in place. These details are on our website and will be emailed out to all registrants ahead of our class start dates.

WEATHER POLICY: Our weather policy can be found in detail here. If Pleon cancels sailing ahead of the day a full refund will be issued (-CC fees). If sailors arrive to Pleon and we are able to run any programming it will count as a program day.

WHAT TO WEAR:Dry Suits will be mandatory when the combined air and water temperature is below 100 degrees as well as at the discretion of the Program Director. Plan to wear a dry-suit until you receive communication saying otherwise. Sailors must bring PFDs, proper footwear, gloves, hats, water and snacks.

ADDITIONAL OFFERINGS: Please stay tuned to see additional after-school class offerings as well as more beginner and Intermediate level classes as the weather gets warmer.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Due to high demand and COVID restrictions on class sizes once you are registered for any class/session you are committed to that day and time.

If you register for a certain day and cannot make it/miss it that registration is not transferable to another day. For any questions regarding our cancellation policy please contact Kieran O'Connell - kieran@pleon.org
