Intro to Pleon A two-week class to introduce 8- and 9-year-olds to Pleon. Sailed in Optimists either solo or with another sailor.
Optimist 1 For sailors with little or no prior single-handed sailing experience. Typical ages: 9-10 yr. olds
Optimist 2 Strong emphasis on fun sailing and skill development. Typical ages: 9-11 yr. olds
Optimist 3 For sailors who successfully completed Optimist 2 or equivalent. Typical ages: 10-12 yr. olds
Optimist Development For sailors who completed Optimist 3 and want to continue sailing with more of a race-focus. Typical ages: 11-13 yr. olds
Optimist Race Team Focuses on competing on a regional & national level, fine-tuning racing skills. Typical ages: 11-14 yr. olds
420 1 For sailors new to 420s, a double-handed dinghy. Typical ages: 13-15 yr. olds
420 2 Focus on both racing and improving skills for those with prior 420 experience. Typical ages: 14-17 yr. olds
420 Development Meant for sailors who have race experience (typically Optimists) and want to develop 420 racing skills
420 Race Team For sailors with a desire to race at regional and national levels. Typical ages: 14-19 yr. olds
Laser 1 For sailors new to sailing a Laser (high-performance, single-handed boat) Typical ages: 12-14 yr. olds
Laser 2 For sailors with Laser experience looking to develop racing skills. Typical ages: 13-15 yr. olds
Laser Race Team Fine tuning Laser racing techniques for sailors that want to compete regionally and nationally. Typical ages: 14-18 yr. olds
Keelboat 1 For sailors looking to improve fundamental sailing skills + some navigation and cruising basics. Typical ages: 12-13 yr. olds
Keelboat 2 For experienced sailors interested in further developing larger-boat sailing skills. Typical ages: 13-15 yr. olds
