Dear Pleon Sailors and Parents,
We're just winding down the week at the club. It has finally
cooled off thanks to some gnarly storms this Wednesday. I'm in disbelief that
this summer is half way over already!
Here's a wrap up of what we did
Congratulations to team USA who were morning and afternoon
champions on OLYMPIC DAY. Erin
and I had fun running in wearing togas with the torch for both opening
ceremonies. The kids seemed to enjoy all the events ranging from scooter slalom
to sprint pole long jump to the 420 swim.

everyday this week check out our photos at the url provided, http://www.pleon.org/page/3340/3090/
Wednesday Series was unfortunately cut short due to thunder storms. However, we did have a guest visit from the Marblehead Fire Department because of a
quick power surge. Results were not taken or posted online. Next Wednesday Series
will be August 1st.
We had a great turn out for Sail
With/Or Against Your Parent Night last night, thanks to everyone who participated.
End of first session, for those of you not returning for second session hope you all
enjoyed Pleon and want to come back next year!
Looking forward to next week;
Sunday July 22nd - NO FREE SAIL because of MJRW
SUNDAY JULY 22ND TO WEDNESDAY JULY 25 - MARBLEHEAD JUNIOR
RACE WEEK. NO CLASSES FOR THE WEEK. Classes will resume on July 30th.
If your child is not racing next
week but still wants to be around to help at the club please send me an email email@example.com
Best of luck to all our racers
competing this week in Hingham and Falmouth and then next week in MJRW.
