Some business then some fun stuff:
We have many amazing MJRW volunteers who have stepped up, but we are still on the look out for 2 or 3 more volunteers for check in/out on Tues/Wed. We are also looking for more safety and spectator boats for the regatta. Please email me back if you can help!
Everyone loves food, especially regatta sailors!! We need some help in the MJRW food tent for breakfasts and dinners. Non-sailing siblings are welcome as well. Email Tinabeth Burton at firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help out.
I tooootally forgot to mention Pleon's awesome results from the Hingham Regatta. The Laser team swept places 1-5 with Reid Shanabrook coming in 1st, Nicole Torrie in 2nd, and Abby Naughton in 3rd. In the Opti fleet, Hunter Zonnenberg came in 7th out of 87!! Eric O'Connor came in 9th right behind him.
Pirate Day was so much fun. Best day yet. Thank you all! Hope to see some parents at the Carlton Trophy tomorrow night at 6 to singlehand some 420s against our racers!
P.S. Weather looks sketchy for the next day or two. Pleon runs rain or shine, and in the event of thunderstorms or dangerous conditions, we hold class in the clubhouse. For the future, be on the look out for emails about cancelled events when you know the weather is turning pear shaped.
