Fall Sailing at Pleon
August 28, 2013

Hello Pleon Sailors and Families!

Summer may be over, but the sailing season lives on! Pleon is offering a fall sailing program! We will be continuing into the fall season with a 420 program for high school aged kids and coaching for Opti sailors. This program is not exclusively for Pleon sailors. It is open to sailors from ANYWHERE as long as they meet the prior experience requirements!

Beginning September 4th and ending October 13th Pleon will be offering Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays for both groups, as well as a Sunday only option.  This is an amazing opportunity for sailors to continue sailing into the fall with high level coaching. We will also be holding a Team Race Clinic for high school sailors Saturday and Sunday October 19-20.

**If you are planning on participating and have not registered please do so as soon as possible. We need to know the set number of kids in order to properly allocate coaching. We may have to turn last minute registrants away because of the coach to sailor ratio! Contact Lisa Garry-Seymour if you have questions: lgseymour@comcast.net

To view information about the program and register, visit the Pleon website (www.pleon.org) and click on the "Sailing" tab and then "Fall Sailing Opportunities" or just click the link provided here: http://www.pleon.org/page/8227

In 420s, Parker placed 1st at the Orange Bowl Regatta and consistently placed within the top 15 at major 420 events. While at Martin County High School his team qualified for 3 team race national championships and 1 fleet racing national championship. While at BC, the co-ed team won 2 Team Racing national championships, including 1 his senior year when he was captain of the team. Following graduation he moved to Miami to coach full time at Coral Reef Yacht Club which has a focus on national level racing.  Lucky for us, Parker has re-located to Boston.
