	Weekly Newsletter and Updates! July 3, 2008 Weekly Newsletter and Updates! The first week at Pleon was a hit! The week included the swim test, Rockstar Day, games, dodging thunderstorms, and of course, sailing. On Thursday, the architect for the new build spoke with all the sailors about the new clubhouse. Sailors were able to ask questions and see pictures of what it will look like! Some fundraising ideas were launched- ask your sailors about the coin drive! While everyone is excited for the long weekend of the fourth, we can't wait to get back on the water next week to prepare our sailors for the adventures ahead! Remember that there is NO CLASS TOMORROW for the 4^th of July. Enjoy the holiday! Upcoming events for next week: Sunday, July 6^th- Free Sail from 9-12. Monday, July 7^th- Movie Night starting at 6:30 pm. The movie will be Goonies. There will be candy for sale and all profits will go toward the new clubhouse. Tuesday, July 8^th- RRR, it's Pirate Day! Come dressed in Pirate attire with Pirate jokes! Prizes award to best costume! Wednesday, July 9^th- Wed. Series for all afternoon classes. Be rigged and ready to sail at 1 pm. BBQ to follow (read DONATION REQUEST below) after races starting around 4:30. Thursday, July 10^th- Sail with or against your parents night @ 6:30. Come bring your sailor and have them show you all that they learned so far! Friday, July 11^th- ROCKMORE CUP! All sailors come at 9 am to get a boat and sail for lunch at Rockmore. As you can see we have a very full schedule ahead! Please come and be apart of the fun and excitement. DATE CHANGE: Commodore's Ball has a new date, it will be August 19^th! Mark your calendars now! MJRW VOLUNTEERS! Still looking for Race Week volunteers! If your sailor is sailing in Junior Race Week, we need your help in making it a success! Still looking for housing, registration, food, safety, and scoring! Please contact Susan Collins and Meg Seminara to sign up today! Thanks in advance for your help. DONATION REQUEST: Our grill did not make it through the winter. We are looking for a large propane grill to replace a very old hazardous one. If you have an extra or looking to update your grill, please contact either Emlie Barkow or Ryan Carney.
