Even though Pleon just kicked off officiallly today, there were many Pleon sailors who have been participating in regattas! This past weekend, 19 Pleon Sailors raced in the New Bedford Junior Regatta. 8 opti sailors, coached by Jamie Thompson, dominated the opti fleet. In the top 5, Michael Drumm took 4th, Brian Drumm was 3rd, and Ian Burrows was victorious winning overall. Other Pleon opti sailors were Sophie Naughton, Jamie Bloxham, Eli Hammond, Alex Myers, and David Kinney. On the laser line, 7 Pleon sailors raced against 32 other full rig, radial, and 4.7 rigs. Luigi Guarino took 5th in the full rig division. On the radial fleet line, Albert Nichols was 9th, Alex Romagnoli took 10th, William Bloxham was 12, Dan Carney 13th, Gianna Guarino 15th, and Katie Leake 17th. Leah Moncheur coached all the laser sailors. 4 420 boats and 8 sailors raced against 49 other 420's lead by the 420 coach, Tim King. Amongst them were Connor and Gram, Kristin and Ashley, Jon and Tyler, and Hunter and Alex. Congrats to all the Pleon sailors and their first regatta of the seaon!
