ABOUT PLEON SUMMER PROGRAMS
No sailing experience or affiliation with other clubs is required.  

Class sizes are limited, and our classes do get fully booked.  Registration opens in late February each year and we strongly recommend that you register early, and for both sessions if applicable, to avoid disappointment. When registering on-line, you will need a credit card, and your child's health insurance information and emergency contact information.

 

The 2017 Registration Information is below for your reference:

Early registration will run from February 27 (9 am) through March 10, 2017.  Registrations will be filled on a first come first serve basis with priority given to returning sailors who were enrolled in the 2016 program, followed by siblings of returning 2016 Pleon sailors.  Applications for new sailors submitted during this period will be considered by age.  If you are applying for financial aid you must submit your application by March 10, 2017.  Cancellations or requests to change to a different class will be accepted during early registration.  An early bird discount of $100 (full season) and $50 (half season) will apply for all sailors registering by March 10, provided full payment is received at the time of registration.

Late registration will start on March 10, 2017.  Applications, as well as requests to move to another class, received on or after March 10 will be considered in the order received, based on eligibility, space available and instructor recommendations.   Fees will not be prorated or refunded for partial attendance, for cancellations after March 10, 2017, or for changes requested after March 10 to a less expensive class, including switching from full season to a single session.  Pleon does not offer a discount for families with multiple children in the program, and cannot accommodate requests for refunds.

Confirmation information will be provided by May 15, generally via email.  In some cases we may recommend moving your child to a different class, in which case we will contact you as soon as possible.  Final class placement is subject to review based on the best interests of individuals and the class as a whole.  An incremental payment or refund may apply in this situation.

FINANCIAL AID:  A limited amount of financial aid is available for program fees only.  Aid will be limited to families who can demonstrate financial need.  Please send a written request and explanation of need to Chris LaChance, Pleon Junior Sailing Program, PO Box 160, Marblehead MA 01945.  The deadline for requests is March 10, 2017.
